Writing often (daily) benefits me a lot. I have written about it in The one about the positive effects of taking daily notes.

Ideas would come to me randomly, almost effortlessly: at a coffee shop waiting for my coffee or out on a walk. I write them down to expand on them later. But when it comes to "expanding" them, I often struggle. I keep distracting myself with chores, Twitter, Mastodon, LinkedIn, etc.

One thing that I have found effective is to start writing. I write associations (usually just words.)

I want to write more about "How do I define success", so I would write down words I associate success with: close friends, family close by, safety, health, etc. After I have a list, I expand (or do not) each.
